She was immersed in the island's rich culture and history from an early age, and her first love became the Sea after completing a "Kids and the Sea" program in her per-teen years, a love she has cherished ever since. She knew exactly what she wanted to do after completing school, and went to work for the Inter Island Ferry company on St.John. Running trips between the US and British Virgin Islands, once she got the hang of things, she moved over to Cruz Bay Water Sports to run their FastCat and get more sea time. She was a natural and drove every boat in the fleet! After the devastating Hurricanes in 2017, she joined a Salvage & Recovery effort and ran their tugs and barges to help clean up the islands. When she was satisfied with the cleanup, she moved back over to the tourism sector, and shortly thereafter we were lucky enough to snag her for our vessels here at Midnight Sun Charters! Aboard a Midnight Express with Captain Niyah at the helm, you will have the adventure of your vacation, if not a lifetime! Being born and raised on St.John, and a native Belonger to the BVI, she knows the islands in and out like the back of her hand. Born and raised in beautiful St Thomas, USVI. Growing up he was always surrounded by the natural beauty that is the Virgin Islands, and from an early age he spent most of his time in or on the water. Becoming a Captain was a dream of his during his youth, and when he was old enough he made that dream a reality. Jervan loves meeting new people on charter, to show off his slice(s) of Paradise, and some of his favorite (sometimes “secret”) spots around St John and St Thomas. Whenever Jervan is on the water he is loving life and having a good time, he looks forward to being able to run our sleek Midnight Expresses with you, our guests, aboard. Everyday on the water is a GOOD day with him! You’ll find Jervan running our 37’ OBSIDIAN and 43’ ONYX, make sure to pick him for your next charter and see what he is all about. Growing up in the South, he developed his passion for the ocean, it’s marine life, and his easy going & friendly attitude. During college he visited the islands on a guys trip, and fell in love with the Virgin Islands and knew that one day he would call this place home! Shortly thereafter he made the move to St Thomas and has been an islander for almost 20yrs. A avid outdoorsman and marathon runner, Midnight Sun Charters is now lucky enough to call him one of our own.
