Captain Sarah
Sarah was born on Saipan, a small U.S. territory in the Western Pacific, into a family of seafaring captains — her grandfather’s name is honored by the island’s main port being named after him. At 19 she turned her love of the ocean into a career, earning her captain’s license and taking the helm. She’s commanded everything from nimble center consoles to tourist vessels carrying more than 100 passengers.
The ocean shaped her life off duty as well. Sarah lived aboard a sailing vessel for seven years, voyaging throughout the Caribbean and exploring island after island. It was during that expedition she discovered St. Thomas, fell in love with the island, and made it her home.
Her years on the water have made her a highly skilled, confident captain. That expertise shows in smooth runs and a calming presence that helps guests relax and enjoy their time on the water. JERVAN JACKSON
Meet Captain Jervan. Born and raised in beautiful St Thomas, USVI. Growing up he was always surrounded by the natural beauty that is the Virgin Islands, and from an early age he spent most of his time in or on the water. Becoming a Captain was a dream of his during his youth, and when he was old enough he made that dream a reality. Jervan loves meeting new people on charter, to show off his slice(s) of Paradise, and some of his favorite (sometimes “secret”) spots around St John and St Thomas. Whenever Jervan is on the water he is loving life and having a good time, he looks forward to being able to run our sleek Midnight Expresses with you, our guests, aboard. Everyday on the water is a GOOD day with him! You’ll find Jervan running our 37’ OBSIDIAN and 43’ ONYX, make sure to pick him for your next charter and see what he is all about. For one thing, his smile is infectious! ;)
ADAM SHUEMAKER
Captain Adam, another one of our favorites! He’s not just another pretty face, he is also our very own Encyclopedia Virgin Islandsica! He LOVES the history of the VI and will share stories with you in between snorkel stops with pleasure!
Growing up in the South, he developed his passion for the ocean, it’s marine life, and his easy going & friendly attitude.
During college he visited the islands on a guys trip, and fell in love with the Virgin Islands and knew that one day he would call this place home! Shortly thereafter he made the move to St Thomas and has been an islander for almost 20yrs. A avid outdoorsman and marathon runner, Midnight Sun Charters is now lucky enough to call him one of our own.

KYLE BREGO
Captain Kyle Brego will help navigate you through your day aboard our vessel. Growing up in the Virgin Islands, Kyle has worked countless hours on commercial fishing, oil rigs, and support vessels, sail and motor, ranging in size from 12ft to 300ft. He has his Unlimited Masters Captain License from the U.S. Coast Guard, with endorsements, and CPR certifications. Kyle has been very active in the private charter business in the past years running charter boats around the Virgin Islands. We are extremely excited to have him on board our vessels to take you out on your very own adventure. Some fun facts; Kyle is from St John, grew up in Love City and has been on the water since a very early age. His passion, when not driving boats, is playing with his cats.
TEA DESMOND
First Mate Tea Desmond is a native of St Croix. After college she jumped feet first into the yachting industry. Working on private yachts she developed her amazing service skills and on the side got her Master Captains License. With her outgoing personality, and attention to detail, Tea will be sure to make your trip aboard ONYX the best day of your vacation! She is looking forward to meeting you.
